Pre-mixed alcohol and energy drinks are convenient but controversial. Banning them will simply cause heavy pre-loading of the energy components.
The Australian Government increased the tax on RTDs (alcopops) by 70 percent in 2008 with the aim of reducing underage drinking. It has not worked and should be repealed.
